Panelists talked about the Federal Communications Commission’s open Internet policy. Earlier in the month the FCC voted along party lines for a proposed rule that could allow content providers such as Netflix to pay for “fast lane” service. The proposed rule was in response to court decisions challenging the FCC’s “net neutrality” rules. Net neutrality refers to the idea that Internet providers must allow all legal content to move through their networks uninhibited. close
