House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) briefed reporters and responded to questions on a variety of issues. She commented on the Veterans Administration Inspector General’s interim report on the delay in veterans health care treatment. She said the allegations could be criminal and may need to be investigated by the Justice Department, but stopped short of calling for Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki to resign. She also discussed other issues involving mental health legislation and National Security Agency documents leaker Edward Snowden. close
