Panelists at the Heritage Foundation talked about the House Select Committee on Benghazi and its investigation into the September 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Topics included laws governing select committees and how claims of executive privilege work. Hans Von Spakovsky said the the committee will be able to will subpoena witnesses, and any witness who refuses to answer can be punished with a $1000 fee and up to year in jail. close
