Eli Lake, senior national security correspondent for The Daily Beast, talked by telephone about his article about the use of airstrikes and how quickly they could begin. The Iraqi government would like airstrikes, but Mr. Lake talked about the problems of identifying targets and minimizing civilian casualties, especially in high population areas. Other topics included the the militant group ISIS* and the reasons for U.S. concern about Iraq.
