Music recording and broadcasting industry representatives testified at a hearing on performed music licensing laws. They talked about the patchwork of licensing laws outdated by the myriad ways people now listen to music, including the Internet. Witnesses included executives from Pandora, SiriusXM, the National Association of Broadcasters, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), and singer-songwriter Roseanne Cash.
