School administrators, Department of Education officials and victims testified on the problem of sexual assault on college campuses. The hearing focused on ways that federal laws, including Title IX and the Clery Act, have held schools accountable and have helped keep students safe. Topics included standardizing how schools respond, prevention strategies and expanding sexual assault definitions to include “male on male” and “female on female” crimes. close
