Josh Earnest briefed reporters and answered questions on several topics, including the $3.8 billion emergency supplemental request to secure the U.S. southern border and take care of the recent influx of unaccompanied children from Central America. He said that Texas Governor Rick Perry had accepted an invitation to a meeting on border security with President Obama and other local officials and faith leaders when the president traveled to the state later in the week. close
