James Clapper on National Security
Director Clapper spoke at an event hosted by the Bipartisan Policy Center marking the 10th anniversary of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks report.
James Clapper talked about the intelligence and national security. The director of national intelligence said the intelligence community was facing a “perfect storm” endangering U.S. national security. He said problems included budget cuts by Congress, and a loss of intelligence sources due to the Edward Snowden leaks, which led to damaged relationships internationally.
