Administrator Gina McCarthy testified n the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) proposed carbon pollution standards for existing power plants. In June 2014, the EPA proposed the Clean Power Plan, which was intended to cut carbon pollution from existing power plants through a state-federal partnership, and required fossil fuel-burning plants to identify the best and cheapest way to reduce pollution. close
