Secretary of State John Kerry addressed members of the Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, which is made up of leaders ages 25-35 from sub-Saharan Africa. He talked about the important relationship between the U.S. and African nations, and the opportunities for Africa when its countries embrace democracy and allow women to become full participants in the economy and political process. Theses were the opening remarks of the Presidential Summit of the Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. close
