Josh Earnest briefed reporters and responded to questions on a variety of topics. He would not comment on the possibility of the U.S considering airstrikes in Iraq in response to the continued advance and the recent capture of the country’s largest dam in the city of Mosul by ISIS.* He called the situation “disturbing” and said President Obama had made clear that any military action would not involve soldiers on the ground and would be limited in scope.
