Senator Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) spoke about the impact of U.S. debt on national security. He offered his recommendations for reducing the national debt and the threat it poses to maintaining national security. He called the debt “one crisis that’s not going away.” Senator Chambliss also talked about his congressional tenure, and the issues he had worked to address as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and vice-chair of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. He was not seeking re-election and his term would end January 2015. After his remarks Senator Chambliss was interviewed by John Diaz and responded to questions submitted by members of the audience. close
