United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon held a news conference at U.N. headquarters in New York City. He gave an update on the Ebola virus outbreak in Western Africa, and the situation in Iraq. He dismissed claims that the U.N. had been ineffective in dealing with the crisis in Middle East, including the response to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the Gaza Strip.
