House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) talked by video link from Capitol Hill about the fall congressional agenda and the November 2014 elections. He said that he expected that Congress would vote during the next week on President Obama’s plan to combat ISIS* militants and on the continuing resolution to fund the government, but would take a “two-step process” that could last until after the midterm elections. After the interview the reporters in the studio discussed his responses with the host.
