AFL-CIO Political Director Michael Podhorzer discussed the union organization’s role in the 2014 midterm elections. Among its issues in those campaigns were the minimum wage, stagnant workers' wages, taxes on millionaires and corporations, ending NAFTA-like trade agreements, student debt, and the influence of David and Charles Koch. The AFL-CIO was airing the “Koch sisters” ads that were intended as a balance to the influence of the Koch brothers and their support for conservative candidates. close
