Sigrid Kaag, special coordinator of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)-United Nations Joint Mission to eliminate the chemical weapons programme of the Syrian Arab Republic, talked about her experiences in eliminating the Syrian chemical weapons arsenal in the midst of a civil war. She discussed the roles Iran and other regional nations played in the process, as well as the use of technology in helping to overcome some of the challenges.
