Rear Admiral John Kirby briefed reporters and took their questions on a variety of military topics including recent airstrikes against ISIL* targets in Iraq and Syria. He said that the U.S. and its coalition partners had conducted nearly 310 strikes so far, with over 230 in Iraq and 76 in Syria. Other topics included the bilateral security agreement in Afghanistan and troops being sent to Africa to combat the Ebola outbreak.
