Prime Minister Stephen Harper rose in the House of Commons to deliver a Minister’s Statement outlining Canada’s additional support for counter-terrorism efforts against ISIL*. He called for airstrikes against ISIL in Iraq but reiterated that he would not send troops on the ground. Opposition Leader Thomas Mulcair then spoke, saying Canada should not rush into war again.
