General David Rodriguez, commander of U.S. Africa Command, briefed reporters and answered their questions on the military’s response to the Ebola virus outbreak in Western Africa. He said that almost 4,000 U.S. military personnel were stationed in and around Monrovia, Liberia, to provide assistance to international efforts in addressing the outbreak. He also stated that, thus far, $750 million over six months had been made available for the U.S. mission. close
