Rob Engstrom talked about the role of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in the 2014 midterm elections. The Wall Street Journal said that the Chamber was the nonprofit group that had spent the most for the 2014 election; $30 million as of late September 2014. The Chamber had supported only Republican candidates for election, and in the primaries supported establishment candidates against tea party supporters. Its issue positions had included support for immigration reform, repeal of the Affordable Care Act, development of the Keystone XL Pipeline, and opposition to a minimum wage increase. After the interview, the reporters discussed his responses with the host. close
