Richard Garriott used slides as he talked about his 12-day trip into space. When the Russian Soyuz TMA-13 launched October 12, 2008, he became the sixth private citizen to fly into orbit and the first American second-generation space traveler. The son of an astronaut, he talked about his Apollo-inspired generation that went into tech industries. The developer of the Ultima role-play video game series was an entrepreneur who coined the term “massively multiplayer online role-playing game” (MMORPG) and was the first to use the word “avatar” to represent a computer user.
