Sam Roberts, author of A History of New York in 101 Objects, used a selection of artifacts from his book to tell the story of New York City. The objects ranged from a 1624 Dutch document which Roberts calls the city s birth certificate to a jar of dust gathered from the remains of the World Trade Center in 2001. close
