Executive Director Jack McKinney gave a tour of the Dr Pepper Museum and talked about the soft drink that was invented in Waco, Texas, in 1885. In 1891, the creators of the drink started the Artesian Manufacturing and Bottling Company, which later became Dr Pepper Company. The Museum is housed in the 1906 Artesian Manufacturing and Bottling Company building located in downtown Waco. Mr. McKinney showed old bottling equipment, both man powered and mechanized, as well as other items from their archives.
