House Democratic Caucus leaders spoke to reporters following their first meeting since the midterm elections. Caucus Chair Xavier Becerra (CA ) expressed concerns with the House bill to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline, telling reporters it was “sprung on us” and that insufficient time was allowed for members to fully debate the issues. He also introduced new Democratic members and answered questions on the outcome of the midterm elections and whether the President should take executive action on immigration reform. close
