More than 300 members of Great Britain’s youth parliament, ages 11 to 18, gathered in the British House of Commons for their annual debate. The students debated five topics that would be considered for their national campaign. In this portion, opening remarks were made and a tribute to the 100 year anniversary of the start of World War I. The youths spoke about how their families and constituents had been involved in the war and how remembering that war should affect decision making about wars. Speaker of the House John Bercow presided. close
