Reese Erlich talked about his book Inside Syria: The Backstory of Their Civil War and What the World Can Expect, in which he provides an account of the Syrian civil war based on interviews with Bashar al-Assad, rebel factions in Syria, and citizens caught in the crossfire. In his book, he also looks into the involvement of the Kurds, the United States, and Iran in the conflict.
