Former Senate Majority Leaders Tom Daschle and Trent Lott spoke with reporters and responded to questions at at a “Monitor Breakfast” held by the Christian Science Monitor. They discussed the Affordable Care Act, immigration policy, and the need for bipartisanship in Congress Senator Daschle said there had been an “erosion of authority” in the House and Senate. Senator Lott advised Congress “to go back to regular order and quit running things only through the speaker’s office.” close
