Museum Curator Michael MacDonald talked about the “Sixty from the '60s” exhibit in the LBJ Presidential Library. The exhibit featured iconic photographs, historic objects and documents, books, clothing, posters, and artwork related to sixty Americans who made an impact on this seminal era and whose work continues to be relevant today. From arts and entertainment to social activism and civil rights, science and health to business and industry, it shows individuals who made a fundamental difference in American life.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2014 LCV Cities Tour” in Austin, Texas, from December 2-6, to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Time Warner Cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. close
