Secretary Julian Castro briefed reporters on the state of housing and the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s plans for 2015. Secretary Castro told an audience that “access to credit and affordability” was the biggest challenge facing home-ownership in the U.S. Following his remarks, he answered questions on a range of topics, including the rise of condominium sales in major cities, the future of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, as well as whether he would consider running for Vice President in the 2016 presidential election. close
