German Chancellor Angela Merkel addressed the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. She said that the European Union needed urgent and structural fiscal reforms. She also responded to questions from Klaus Schwab on free trade in Europe, the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, and the future of Greece’s membership in the European Union.

The World Economic Forum is an annual event attended by world leaders in politics, economics, philanthropy, and business. The 2015 theme was “The Next Global Context.”
