The cases addresses a decision that allowed religious organizations to opt out of the Affordable Care Act’s contraception mandate. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York and several schools were asking the Court to uphold a lower court ruling that the Religious Freedom Restoration Act protects religious employers from complying with the requirement that health insurance plans include contraceptive coverage. close
