The Department of Defense held a series of briefings on President Obama’s fiscal year 2016 budget request. Deputy Defense Secretary Robert Work began with an outline of the 2016 defense budget, saying that it was a strategy-driven budget submited above sequestration caps. He briefly outlined the military objectives, saying the budget was for a very volatile security environment but was the best balance given the level of resources. close
