Admiral Mike Rogers, commander of U.S. Cyber Command, talked about cybersecurity issues. He said that the Snowden revelations cost the U.S. some capabilities. He also defended metadata collection, adding that Congress had oversight powers to keep the intllegence community in check. He was interviewed by Jim Sciutto and responded to questions from members of the audience.

“The National Security Perspective: A Conversation with Admiral Mike Rogers” was part of the New America Foundation’s day-long forum titled, “Cybersecurity for a New America : Big Ideas and New Voices,” held in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. close
