British Prime Minister David Cameron appeared before a parliamentary committee to answer questions regarding United Kingdom foreign policy, countering violent extremism, and the Ukraine-Russia conflict. He announced that his government would send military personnel to advise and train Ukrainian troops, but said the United Kingdom was not ready to send lethal weapons. The Prime Minister also responded to questions about three London teenage girls entering Syria to reportedly join ISIS.

The Liaison Committee is made up of the 33 Chairmen of the House of Commons Select Committees, and their questions to the prime minister are not provided in advance. The prime minister generally meets with them three times-a-year, a tradition that began with former Prime Minister Tony Blair. close
