Troublemakers and Trailblazers Exhibit
C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2015 LCV Cities Tour” in Columbus, Georgia, from February 26 to March 3, to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Mediacom cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on BookTV on C-SPAN2.

Rebecca Bush toured the “Troublemakers and Trailblazers” exhibit at the Columbus Museum, and talked about five people who she believes had a lasting impact on Columbus, Georgia, in the 20th century. They included author Carson McCullers, civil rights activist Thomas Brewer, suffragette H. Augusta Hoard, and journalists Julian and Julia Harris.
