Dan Crosswell talked about the life and career of Colonel Richard R. Hallock. Mr. Crosswell said that Colonel Hallock played an integral role in transitioning the U.S. Army from using the M-14 to the M-16 as the primary service rifle during the Vietnam War. At the time of filming, Mr. Crosswell’s book on Colonel Hallock was forthcoming.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2015 LCV Cities Tour” in Columbus, Georgia, from February 26 to March 3, to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Mediacom cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on BookTV on C-SPAN2. close
