King Abdullah II of Jordan addressed the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France. He spoke about Europe’s role in combating terrorism and efforts to fight *ISIL. He praised Europe’s courage in responding to the Paris attacks and compared ISIL to Nazism as “an expansionist ideology based on hatred.” King Abdullah called on all Muslims to join the fight against terrorism, commenting on the Jordanian pilot killed by ISIL. He also said there needed to be more interfaith outreach, saying "insulting other peoples and their faith and their convictions, this is no way forward".
