Iraq’s Ambassador to the U.S., Lukman Faily, talked about the future of his country and its ongoing military and political conflicts. He characterized Iraq’s conflict with ISIS* as a “messy war,” and discussed the country’s efforts at reconstruction. He said that reconciliation among the different groups within Iraq was needed in order to rebuild, and that getting rid of ISIS was an important factor. Following his remarks, Ambassador Faily responded to questions from the audience.
