Pentagon representatives assessed the status of integrating women into combat roles since the 2013 rescission of the Defense Department’s ground combat policy that automatically excluded U.S. servicewomen. The services were given until January 1, 2016, to request permission to exclude women from certain jobs.

“Women in Services Review” was part of the “Women in Combat: Where they Stand” event held at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. close
