Charles L. Zelden talked about his book Thurgood Marshall: Race, Rights, and the Struggle for a More Perfect Union, in which he recounts the life and career of Thurgood Marshall, the first African American Supreme Court justice. He spoke about Justice Marshall’s career fighting racial segregation and legal inequality and the impact of his efforts on American history.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2015 LCV Cities Tour” in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from March 19-22 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Comcast Cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed.
