Elton John and Rick Warren were among the witnesses at a Senate Appropriations subcommittee hearing on State Department global health programs. They focused on the ongoing fight against HIV/AIDS and avoiding the type of delayed response that was made to the Ebola crisis in western Africa, but also discussed ways Congress and the U.S. government could better support programs receiving public funds. close
