Representatives of the Bush administration walked through an impoverished neighborhood in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, during their “Come On Down” tour in Arkansas. The tour, named after a phrase Democratic presidential nominee Governor Bill Clinton (D-AR) used in his acceptance speech at the 1992 Democratic National Convention, was intended to show the economic problems in Arkansas attributable to the failed leadership of Gov. Clinton. The Republican administrators greeted voters in Pine Bluff while viewing run down buildings in Pine Bluff. close
