Holocaust survivor Mayer Adler talked about being sent to Auschwitz with his family in 1944, their separation, and his transfer to Kaufering labor camp outside of Dachau, Germany. He also spoke about his liberation and eventual return to his childhood home, where he was unable to find any of his immediate relatives.

This interview was conducted on April 24, 1991, by the oral history branch of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and is part of the museum’s oral history collection in Washington, D.C. close
