Before the Senate procedural vote on fast-track trade promotion authority (TPA), Finance Committee Chair Orrin Hatch (R-UT) outlined his reasons for supporting the bill. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) then outlined the reasons he opposes TPA, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which he said follows in the footsteps of previous trade agreements such as NAFTA, CAFTA, and PNTR with China. He said TPP is bad for workers and good for executives of multinational corporations. close
