Federal Communications Commission Chair Tom Wheeler and Republican Commissioner Ajit Pai testified at a hearing on the commission’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2016, which totaled $388 million. Chair Wheeler defended to budget and outlined actions to cut costs, including relocating the FCC headquarters. He also provided an update on the spectrum auction, which he said was on track to take place in early 2016.
