USA FREEDOM Act and NSA Surveillance Program
Julian Hattem was interviewed from Capitol Hill about the USA FREEDOM Act being debated on the House floor later in the day. The legislation would extend for an additional four years expiring PATRIOT Act provisions. It is also intended to end the National Security Agency’s (NSA) bulk collection of phone data records by requiring the agency to get a warrant every time it wants to access phone records, which would be held by telephone companies. close
