A three-judge panel at the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral argument on whether the corruption conviction of former Governor Bob McDonnell (R-VA) should be overturned. The Court was considering two points: first whether the definition of “official acts” was overly broad and second if prospective jurors were properly questioned on whether they were influenced by media portrayals of the case.
