Telephone lines were open for viewer calls on Defense Secretary Ashton Carter’s comments that Iraqi forces showed “no will to fight” against ISIS* militants who seized the Iraqi city of Ramadi.

Robert Costa spoke by phone about the 2016 presidential field. Former Senator Rick Santorum (PA) and former Governor George Pataki (NY) were expected to announce their candidacies for the Republican nomination later in the week. Also, Senator Bernie Sanders (VT) was holding a campaign rally later in the day to officially launch his bid for the Democratic nominee.
