Christine Lagarde and others spoke at a news conference in which they announced the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) annual assessment of the U.S. economy. The yearly report focuses on the IMF’s outlook for economic growth in the U.S. as well as the strength of the U.S. dollar and Federal Reserve policy. Ms. Lagarde highlighted many findings before taking questions from reporters, and said she hoped Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen would hold off on raising base interest rates until early 2016. She also addressed the ongoing Greek economic crisis. close
