A burial mass for Beau Biden, the eldest son of Vice President Joe Biden, was held at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Wilmington, Delaware. Beau Biden, a former attorney general of Delaware, died of brain cancer on May 30, 2015, at the age of 46. President Obama delivered a eulogy. General Ray Ordierno, who was commanding general of U.S. forces in Iraq during the time Beau Biden served there, posthumously awarded Beau Biden the Legion of Merit. Beau Biden’s brother and sister also delivered eulogies and other relatives did readings. Music included the church choir and the Northern Delaware Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America. The program began with the arrival of the hearse, escorted by bagpipers and a mounted honor guard, and ended with the departure of the family. close
